MONEYWISE

We recognise that for young people to become responsible and confident contributors to society, they need guidance on the financial pressures and risks they face every day.

Financial awareness is now a fundamental part of young people’s health and wellbeing. In the UK, personal debt levels continue to rise and many young people are exposed to financial harm earlier than ever through online spending, social media influence and easy access to credit. . Moneywise is designed to help young people understand how to manage money safely and avoid modern dangers such as:

  • Spending traps and impulsive online shopping
  • Buy Now Pay Later schemes and hidden debt
  • Predatory or high-cost lending
  • Gambling harms and gambling-like mechanisms within gaming (such as loot boxes)
  • Financial pressure, scams and digital risks

Delivered through structured classroom discussion and engaging activities, Moneywise gives young people practical knowledge they can apply immediately as they move toward adulthood.

Our sessions are built directly around the Moneywise book and workbook resources, providing schools with lasting tools that remain useful beyond the workshop itself.
